Seeking a Softwood Pulp Mill Superintendent – DISPMS
Our Client Company is the largest integrated marketer and manufacturer of uncoated free-sheet paper in North America, with 10 pulp and paper mills and an annual paper production capacity of approximately 3.4 million tons. The Softwood Pulp Mill Superintendent manages and leads the crew and staff associated with the softwood pulp mill to achieve the department’s objectives in the following areas: safety and health, performance, environmental compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity and cost. At the same time, this individual promotes teamwork and continuous improvement with a goal of delivering on all business requirements and service initiatives.
Requirements:
(Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Paper, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering*
• Ten or more years of job-related experience in the pulping process
• Expert knowledge of Kamyr digesters
• Thorough knowledge of the paper-making process
• Effective leadership/management skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication abilities
• Ability to set–and meet–high goal standards for self and staff
*Can be waived if right skill set and work experience.
